Podcasts

Hosted by domestic TRA Karlos Dillard who was adopted from the foster care system interviews former foster youths and adoptees.

Hosted by domestic Canadian adoptee Haley Radke who interviews various adoptees in different industries. I found it helpful to hear some therapists talk about their work, as well as other artists, that I could reach out to and keep going from there. These are some episodes that helped guide me when I first came into my adoptee awareness:

  • #177 Dr. Chaitra Wirta-Leiker on internatlized oppression
  • #171 Dr. Susan Branco on the layers for TRAs, emphasis on keeping natural families together
  • #162: Pam Cordano on anger
  • #147 Special episode: Anissa and Adoptees For Justice
  • #89: Jennifer Griesbach on somatic therapy and pre-verbal memory
  • #49: Lesli Johnson on coming out of the fog

A podcast by and for transracial, intercountry Asian adoptees. They haven’t been active since May 2023, but have a lot of interviews in their archives.

Run by domestic TRA Jennifer Dyan Ghoston who interviews adoptees of all backgrounds. She is also part of the Adoptee Voices Writing Group.

Education & Psychology

This was the first videos I watched after coming into awareness, and it deeply resonated with me as Paul spoke about somatic memory and that while adoptees aren’t able to recall things verbally the memory is still there.
